What platform are you running on? Localhost or a hosting company? –DCoder May 17 '12 at 7:14 @DCoder :- I have a server on Amazon cloud –ScoRpion May 17 '12 at 7:45 1 @ShowketBhat I have same issue, my /tmp folder is have 100% use of space. Database dump failed This is sometimes caused when the specified mysql dump folder isn't http://hire.chrisjlee.net/node/41 given enough permissions. Instead change the dump path to something contained inside the user's home folder If you're not familiar with the command drush sql-sync it's just an php command line interface that is a wrapper for bash functions. It essentially performs the following: ssh myhost "/usr/bin/mysqldump -uroot livedatabase" > /tmp/foo.dump.sql; mysql -uroot localdatabase < /tmp/food.dump.sql Log in or register to post comments Tags:mysqlerror © 2016 Chris J. Anyway, I waited half an hour only to have the server tell me I have a "Backup failed: mysqldump: Got error 28 on write". I cursed the Gods and my server and threw my hands in the air in frustration. Turns out my account I was using to back up my databases to did not have enough space to back up all my 120 sites. So I had to fire up my workbench and back up the databases to my desktop instead. I will remember this next time. Proudly powered by WordPress
