I tried turning AUC both on and off, I tried running the file as admin (My account is admin also), I even tried to install it with my virus scanner turned off but nothing seems to work;( I would be really happy if someone might know a solution for this frustrating problem, Thanks alot! Keep getting "Unable to create the temporary folder. Error:5 - Access is denied (Acrobat Distiller). Occurs at start-up. Windows 7 Professional, Service Pack 1. Since this message started occurring I am unable to scan from my Brother MFC 8890DW. I can print and fax but scan does not work. Frank Simmons Voted Best Answer Edit Answer (for another -19 minute) Hi,This error usually occurs if there is no permission to Windows temp folder.I would suggest you try the below step and check if it works.Click on Start button, type %temp% and press enter.Delete all the contents in the Temp folder, then launch the Acrobat and try working with it.If the issue is not resolved, locate the Adobe Distiller folder in Temp folder and delete it, create a new folder with the same name, this should resolve this issue.Or it might occur due to no permissions to %Temp% folder, you can try giving full permission to Temp folder.Thanks.Rocky
