Obviously your DHCP is working with your router/modem otherwise you would not be posting here. What does your network consist of, what are you trying to connect to? Also system restore dont work.I receive every time:un unspecified error occured-no nuber of the error,just the info.Tried in safe mode-no result. Tried sfc /scannow and sfc found corrupted files but was not able to fix all of them?details are in CBS log. This problem may occur after an upgrade from Windows 2000 to 2003, or after you've changed permissions in the registry. In most cases, this error can easily be solved by granting extra permissions in the registry. To make the permission changes in the registry, do the following: Click Start, click Run, type regedit and click OK Navigate to error 5 the following key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Dhcp Right click the key DHCP and click Permissions. Click Add, type network service and click OK Select NETWORKSERVICE and check the Full control box to grant NETWORKSERVICE full control on the DHCP key.
