System.InvalidOperationException: Service 'RightAccessManagementWcf.RightAccessWcf' has zero application (non-infrastructure) endpoints. You will need to look in your event logs and see what the real error is. –Matt Ellen Nov 24 '10 at 13:21 added the update2 –Kris-I Nov 24 '10 at 13:32 add a comment| 20 Answers 20 active oldest votes up vote 60 down vote I realize this post is old, but there's no marked solution and I just wanted to throw in how I resolved this. The first problem is that i do NOT have a windows disk on me, im on vacation and internet is my only resource. Second, After a long bout with 100's of virus's i believe my pc is now clean, but my RPC error 5 access is not able to start. If i bring up Services.msc it will come up as normal but if i try to activate anything it says "Error 5: access denied". Ive done some research and came up with a few unsuccessful solutions. First was editing it through regedit and trying to turn it on in the registry, also tried associating it with my hardware profile in the registry as well, following microsofts instructions (sorry cant post link) and instructions left by others with my problem online. All are unsuccessful. Ive read something about altering my policies through gpedit.msc or secpol.msc though i have very limited experience with policies and modifying them. I have attempted to reload the default policies but to no avail. Since my RPC is not on, everything on my pc is limited to performing less than safemode. Ive searched everything everywhere using every search engine, and no help... Please someone help me. Sorry for the massive wall of text. [Problem 1] RPC not running [Problem 2] Cannot modify Services in services.msc [Problem 3] Cannot boot into safemode normally ~Technophobic Oct 9, 2009 #1 Tmagic650 TS Ambassador Posts: 17,233 +233 "Second, After
Troubleshooting Error 5: Access Denied The information in this article applies to: DameWare Remote Support DameWare Mini Remote Control Error 5 Error 5: Access Denied suggest that you do not have the proper credentials to logon to the remote machine. Over and above everything else, whatever credentials you are using to attempt the remote connection must have rights to logon locally to the remote machine. In other words, the credentials must be a member of one of the following groups on the remote machine: Administrators Powers Users Users Server Operators Account Operators Backup Operators Print Operators However, if the remote machine is running Windows XP, then this behavior could be related to "Simple File Sharing". Windows XP Home & Windows XP Professional installed on a machines as part of a WorkGroup has "Simple File Sharing" (not to be confused with "File & Printer Sharing") enabled by default which offers no NT Challenge/Response Authentication. "Simple File Sharing" also does not allow you to remotely install/remove/start/stop the DMRC Client Agent Service. "Simple File Sharing" cannot be turned off in Windows XP Home, therefore you must manually install the DMRC Client Agent Service on machines running Windows XP Home. Once the DMRC Client Agent Service has been installed, then you should be able to use the "Encrypted (128 bit) Windows Logon authentication method to connect to this machine. There is also a policy setting in Windows XP that does not allow you to access a remote machine running Windows XP over the network using an account that has a blank password. Therefore, if you are using an Account with a blank password, I would suggest that you create a new account with full Administrator rights and assign it a password. Then use that account when attempting a connection via the Mini Remote Control program. Information About DameWare Development Software's Compatibility with Windows XP: http://www.dameware.com/support/kb/article.aspx?ID=201036 How To Manually Install or Remove the Mini Remote Control or NT Utilities Client Agent Services: http://www.dameware.com/support/kb/article.aspx?ID=100000 Please also check for DWMRCS entries in the Application Event Log on the remote machine for details about why you were denied access. If you are still unable to determine why you were denied access, then please Copy & Paste the DWMRCS Application Event Log entries back to support@dameware.com for examination. There should be 2 entries (1 Information & 1 Error) for each failed login attempt and we will need both of them in order to assist you.
