Solved net view hostname and net view IP address fails error 53 network path not found Posted error 5 on 2010-07-01 Windows Networking Routers Windows XP 2 Verified Solutions 42 Comments 1,803 Views Last Modified: 2012-08-14 Have had a workgroup working with 8 to 10 pcs for several years. Windows XP Pro sp3 pc's. Recently files shares on 3 pc's can no longer be accessed. Those pc's though can see and access other shares on the network. You can successfully ping the pc's in question by system error 5 name and IP. If you run Net View the netbios names of each pc show up. If you run Net View hostname or IP address both fail with error 53 network path not found. Have already gone through most every solution I can find with no help. We recently switched out a Sonicwall router but users are unsure when the problems began even then, other pcs on the network can access each others shares just fine. Any help would be appreciated as this is my first time using this service. Thanks in advance. 0 Question by:wxmanokc Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Google LVL 38 Best Solution byChiefIT DNS Servers . . . . . . . . . . . : 68.94.156.1<<< 68.94.157.1<<< Here is one potential problem: You are using Outside DNS servers to server DNS.
