Sign up qwinsta --“Error [5] - Access is denied” up vote 4 down vote favorite 1 I am getting the "access is denied" error even though I have no problem connecting with Remote Desktop Connection. My computer is Win7, the targets are WinXP or Server 2003. Perhaps I am specifying the SERVER name incorrectly: qwinsta /SERVER:XXYYZZ02 I have tried qwinsta /SERVER:\\XXYYZZ02 qwinsta /SERVER:domain\XXYYZZ02

I noticed today that it has qwinsta error 5 an option for querying a remote server. However, when I tried it, I keep getting the following error: C:\Users\nimmylebby>quser administrator /SERVER:remote_server Error 0x00000005 enumerating sessionnames Error [5]:Access is denied. I'm assuming it's because I do not provide a password? But I do not see an option to provide password. Here is the help doc: C:\Users\nimmylebby>quser /?
