Error 691" If I try to connect twice I can get on line but am usually disconnected from mobil broadband after a minute or two. I am using UM150, on Windows XP, Compaq Presario V2000 laptop. Re: Error message 691 robnc410 Mar 15, 2010 8:09 PM (in response to Denniger) I have been getting the same error message sporadically for the last year. Each time, Verizon support has helped me solve the problem, but I called them today and they told me they believe my UM150 is broken and of course "out of warranty". I'm not sure I agree because all of the lights are working properlyand my computer states the device is working properly. Error 691 is a username and password error. Does anyone know how to check and/or change the username and password? Like Show 0 Likes(0) Actions 2. They will be called national access or Verizon something. Delete all of them. Reboot your computer. I use the Verizon Connection manager software to connect, and it informed me of new firmware and requested that I upgrade so I did. Within the week I began to have issues connecting, and staying connected when I did connect. I have random drop off issues and disconnects even in a full coverage area. When I try to connect the first 2 to 4 times I receive a QA913 error, on the 3rd or so attempt it will connect and https://community.verizonwireless.com/thread/163802 then stay connected for an amount of time that is quite inconsistant. Is there anyway to back rev my modem to restore the old firmware so that I no longer have this issue, or is there a known fix for the problem I am having. Verizon's tech support has been less than helpful as always, and I will soon be moving into my new home and I would like to sort all this out prior to that so I can have http://www.evdoforums.com/thread9527.html a reasonable faster than dialup connection resource. Also to date, I have had some issues with my MBR1000 randomly loosing connection with my modem as well. Is this similar to the issue at hand or any other known problem? Sorry to be quite the "newbie" in this arena, but I am reading as much as I can on the forum and I have found the information at hand quite useful and impressive. Talking to VW support, they cracked me up saying you got an update today. I said well couldn't the update have broken something? The person tells me, no the updates will only help you, not hurt you!!! They shipped me a new 150 which should come in today. You're paying for tech support, so use it. (They know their card, they know their software and they can go in and reset your username, password, account - whatever has to be done. Bringing the laptop (and card) to a Verizon store might do the same thing, but you might have to wait longer. Effectively, if the computer is NOT connected to the Internet, this pop-up notification is continuously displayed. Uninstalling the program did NOT clear the issue either. After rebooting and determining that the pop-up would not stop, I used a registry cleaner to find and remove all occurrences of VZAccess.
