2015 Hi, Did you see this thread? docker/machine#2136 This worked for me: "As mentioned in the error line https://gist.github.com/gregory/3b3c4768df89adb3780d#file-debug-docker-machine-L202, you have conflicting / invalid host only interfaces. I'd recommend removing all of them that you can from the VirtualBox GUI -- (in menu bar: VirtualBox => Preferences => Network => Host-only networks). In your case, looks like vboxnet3 and vboxnet5 are the troubled ones." π 6 vmshah-github commented Dec 19, 2015 I have the same problem. Milestone No milestone Assignees No one assigned 18 participants rufuscasey commented Mar 16, 2016 perhaps this happens when i move location- maybe another reason- don't know. First error: "Cannot connect https://github.com/docker/toolbox/issues/346 to the Docker daemon. Is the docker daemon running on this host?" After running eval` "$(docker-machine env default)" this will sometimes fix. Other times, next error is: "Error checking TLS connection: Host is not running" Could someone please explain error and fix? This is marked as closed but I seem to keep coming across same errors. π 9 victusfate commented Mar 21, 2016 I https://github.com/docker/toolbox/issues/453 ran into a similar issue, believe this occurs when your VM is inactive. Here's how I remedied the situation docker-machine rm default after it's cleaned up you can create a new default machine (assuming you haven't heavily modified it, then you'll probably want to script/automate that with packer/terraform etc) docker-machine create default --driver virtualbox π 38 β€οΈ 5 sagannotcarl commented Apr 11, 2016 Removing and recreating the default machine worked for me. joelittlejohn commented Apr 17, 2016 Is there a more permanent fix for this? Right now I need to recreate the default machine every time I restart. GeoffreyBooth commented Apr 28, 2016 I get this error after every restart, and for me itβs fixed by running: eval $(docker-machine env default) I have that in my .zshrc, but somehow I need to run it again at the command line. Perhaps the Docker daemon isnβt initialized when the .zshrc version runs? Is there a better solution? π 3 ZhangRGK commented May 5, 2016 I get the same issue when I restart computer, and it's fixed by running another docker Mac App: Katematic. zerocity commented May 12, 2016 I use docke

SSH for the machine should still work, but connecting to exposed ports, such as the Docker daemon port (usually :2376), may not work properly. you wanted to install docker on your Macbook, there were a few hoops to jump through. Now it's easier than ever. Much of the s implication has come through the use of Docker Machine. The Docker toolbox installer works well. Download, point and click, and set up. The initial launch performs a pre-create check, and then automatically creates a boot-2-docker machine on your computer. Post-Installation In Spotlight search, start typing "docker ...
