If your card is disk0 then you can not referred to it as slot0. As far as I understand the process that are different ways to access the physical drive. So the card formatted as disk0 should be used like this eg. copy tftp disk0: boot system flash disk0:image.bin etc. Best Regards, -- -mat _______________________________________________ cisco-nsp mailing list cisco-nsp [at] puck https://puck.nether.net/mailman/listinfo/cisco-nsp archive at http://puck.nether.net/pipermail/cisco-nsp/ masood at nexlinx Mar31,2008,6:11AM Post #3 of 3 (1447 views) Permalink Re: 7204 viking flash [In reply to] Flash Disks in PC Card slots 0 and 1 are referred to as disk0: and disk1:, respectively, whereas linear Flash memory cards in PC Card slots 0 and 1 are referred to as slot0: and slot1:, respectively. If you have new versions you might have Intel type error formatting 2 flash disk. This is not the same as linear type 1 used by many other routers. Both seem to be supported. Try "sh disk0" or "dir disk0:/" to see if you have a disk like this. If this is the case use disk0 instead of slot0. Only linear devices are usable as flash: or slot0:. -- Harri Top 1. cisco 7200 error formatting slot slot0 Hi, i am new to this field, my problem is that i want to format the flash of my cisco 7200 router, but on doing a show flash the router says : slot0 not available, device not ready. I cannot even take a back up of the existing image. And doing a pwd shows slot0, so i know it is not disk0 (with new intel congfig). Please help me, i need to figure this out quick. I checked in the back of the router and i see the card is in slot0. Thanks in advance. Sincerely Bhupal 2. configure Terminal Services user properties 3. trouble with format disk0: on 7200 4.
