Error In Adapter In Sxmb_moni
& Leisure XI/PI: Dealing with Errors on the Outbound side December 9, 2007 by Riyaz 2SHARESShareTweet Sometimes the link between SAP XI and the target system (say ERP) goes down and messages fail on the outbound side. It may not be possible to restart them from using RWB or the transactions like SXI_MONITOR/SXMB_MONI. This article explains how to deal with such messages. Generally, messages are picked up and sent via SAP XI when the link returns. However, in some scenarios, it may be possible that SAP XI server could not finish conversation with ERP. Main status of messages is “Processed successfully” – but there is an error in the outbound side as shown below. (Transactions - SXI_MONITOR/SXMB_MONI). These messages do not get picked up automatically – and it is not possible restart them from using RWB or the transactions like SXI_MONITOR/SXMB_MONI. Such messages could be processed in the following way: Send data directly to Integration Engine Change the status of failed message This example shows how to solve the problem – two error messages are shown and one of them is solved here. Step 1: Send data directly to Integration Engine Go to Component Monitoring in SAP XI Runtime Workbench. Click on the Test Message tab for the Adapter Engine. Specify the URL of SAP XI Integration engine to send the message to e.g. http://
message through XI. The message was sent as an IDoc and the IDoc number is known. The message should have been transformed on the Integration Server into an XI message, sent to the file adapter and stored on the file system from which a non-SAP application picks it up. Gather information about failed IDoc/Message http://myhelp.uky.edu/bw/en/6a/e6194119d8f323e10000000a155106/content.htm In this step you need to get the relevant information to “trace” the document through XI, i.e. to find out the path the failed document took from sender to receiver. Let us assume that the initial information includes the sending system SID, the time the IDoc was sent, the sending message type. 2. Find location of failure Try to find out on which XI component the error occurred. Candidate components depend on the scenario used. The standard scenario involves a sender system, the integration server (IS) and a receiver system. Basically there are two ways to find out on which system the error occurred: Use the end-to-end monitoring, or search through the systems step by step beginning with the sender, then IS and finally the receiver system using the individual monitoring tools. In this paper we describe the individual monitoring (step-by-step approach), i.e. we successively inspect the component-based monitoring tools from sender through integration server, adapter engines to the receiver. The analysis starts with the sender system and proceeds tow
