saying an error in audit. But the package loadlibs are been copied to the 15 level loadlib pds so am able to test with that loadlib. But our client is saying they will face problem when synch4 error in changeman they are moving the package to production if theres an audit error in promotion. Do anyone have come across this Audit Error in changeman? If so please let me know the reasons for this Audit Error Thanks Karthik Back to top kolusuSite AdminJoined: 26 Nov 2002Posts: 11548Topics: 74Location: San Jose Posted: Sat Feb 11, 2006 8:48 am Post subject: karthikeyan, What exactly is the error message? Go to your Audit report, browse all the way to the bottom, the you will find the cause, and probably a suggested way to overcome your error, sometimes you get something like a 'pointer' to previous pages of the same report indicating the offending member(s)_________________Best wishes, German Castillo Back to top karthikeyanBeginnerJoined: 29 May 2004Posts: 16Topics: 4Location: chennai Posted: Mon Feb 13, 2006 10:54 am Post subject: Thanks Kolusu and German for ur reply. the production environment. Changeman uses the strategy of packages which will include all the information which has to be move into the production environment. Change man does this job by managing movement of change package information in five distinct environments 1) Development The
Changeman Package Status Dis
development environment is used for application program development. The development environment may or may synch4! (cpy/hdr staging problem) not exists under the control of changeman2) Staging The staging environment is a transition environment, where all the testing and editing

of the work libraries are initiated3) Baseline The baseline environment is a copy of the current production libraries which are managed by changeman. These libraries are used in the case of application testing4) Production http://www.mvsforums.com/helpboards/viewtopic.php?t=5856&sid=6b33aa0a39273698fdf364fc06731662 The production environment is a set of libraries where the production version of application resides5) Backup The backup environment consists of the libraries which contains the previous versions of production software A changeman package is a logical definition for the collection of items associated with a change or development request. The associated items include work data sets which are managed by changeman. In a typical change request the following can be the http://mainframe230.blogspot.com/2011/04/changeman-tools-tutorials.html associated members 1) Source Code2) Copy Books3) Load Modules4) DBRM libraries5) Service request6) JCL When a change man package is created, it creates a set of data sets to store all the associated items or termed as COMPONENTS. The data sets are usually a Partitioned Organization ones with a unique naming convention. All the changeman controlled data sets will have a high level qualifier as OIN1. The data set will be something like PICM.CP000000.OIN1. #NNNNNN.??? ,where #NNNNNNN is the Changeman package number which the item or component is associated, and ??? is the associated member or component type. Project Pneumonic: Within the Package Master, HOUSEHOLD has divided work up by ‘Project Mnemonics'. Projects have been used to divide change management by application support groups like HLFG, OIN1 etc. There is internal security within CM that allows specifically named components to belong only to one project. For example, a payroll source member may be secured so that only payroll projects Pneumonic are authorized to access it. There are different stages before installing the package and they are DEVelopment, PROmtion, AUDit trailing, FReeZing, APProval etc. When a package is created it will be in DEV status, once the modules/programs are checked into the package and promoted to test, the package will be
in changeman and to promote it to test regions Create a PKG member in the package where a new DB2 program is present. This member is required in order for DBRM to be promoted to the test region. If this member is not present, https://mainframehub.wordpress.com/category/db2-bind-process/ changeman gives error while promoting DBRM. BIND PACKAGE (PVNPRBDL) + MEMBER http://sync.h10.error.in.changeman.mainframes.winwizards.org/ (PVNBPBOT) + OWNER (DABOC) + QUALIFIER (PVNDB001) + ACTION (REPLACE) + DEGREE (1) + ISOLATION (CS) + VALIDATE (BIND) + EXPLAIN (YES) + RELEASE (COMMIT) + error in CURRENTDATA (YES) Member name = New program name. Whenever we promote a DB2 component we need to promote all the three components related to the program namely DBR, LDB,PKG. Bind will automatically occur. So we do not require a separate JCL to bind. PVNPNOT DBR PVNPNOT LDB PVNPNOT PKG In some mainframe enviornments, do not bind a program to a plan, since in the environment a lot ofpackages are bound to a plan. Doing a plan bind results in error in changeman corruption of plan as only one DBRM is bound to the specific plan then. So always do a package bind by the above process in case plan is bound by various packages in the test region. (Please checkenvironmentdetails with DBA before binding any program). Categories Changeman, DB2, DB2 bind process DB2 Bind process October 17, 2012 // 0 DB2 Bind Process Find a quick overview of the bind process in my earlier post. Process for Bind in Brief Precompiler :Functions: Checks the DB2 code inthe program for errors. Adds working storage areas and sourcecode compatible statements that are used to invoke DB2. One to the workingstorage areas contains a literal "timestamp" called a consistency token. Extracts all the SQL statement from the program source and placed into a member called the DataBase Request Module, or DBRM,which has same consistency token. Compiler:The COBOL code with SQL is input to complier and compiler checks for any errorand Object Module is formed. This code is complied version of code. Modified Code: The Object Module is input to Link-edit and modified code is linked to all theDB2 runtime components to create Load module or .exe file which is include in DB2COBOLprograms. The 'timestamp' or consistency token is embed in this module which was generated in prec-ompiler stage. If there are more than one DB2 modules l
