Rename the root wow folder (to anything it doesn't matter), this will force the Launcher to prompt you to find the folder location of wow.exe. Just pick the folder wow.exe is. at 0:25 GunnDawg Trying to install WoW I downloaded the game client install .exe file and on POL I selected the "Use a setup file in your computer" option and selected the downloaded https://www.playonlinux.com/en/topic-13694-Installing_World_of_Warcraft_.html .exe. After a short while POL comes back with an error reading http://forum.warmane.com/showthread.php?t=156279 "Error in POL_Shortcut Binary not found: WoW.exe" booman Wednesday 13 January 2016 at 0:30 booman Are you using Battle.net? World of Warcraft already has an installer, so you might want to try that first. Just launch PlayOnLinux, click Install and search for Word of Warcraft † Booman † Mint 17.3 64-bit | error in Nvidia 352 | GeForce 550 Ti Linux for Beginners | List of Linux Games | My Games PlayOnLinux Guides | PlayOnLinux Explained GunnDawg Wednesday 13 January 2016 at 1:01 GunnDawg The POL game list has World of Warcraft, World of Warcraft Wrath of the Lich King, and World of Warcraft The Burning Crusade. I am selecting just the normal "World of Warcraft" and shortly after error in checking that it wants me to "Please choose an installation method" where I can either select CD, DVD or setup file. I've tried both the battle.net app exe as well as the world of warcraft .exe you can download from battle.net, though I think they're the same as they both just install battle.net (on windows). So I have to pick an option one way or the other. POL does not seem to have a built in installer. To do this type: [spoiler]Your error log here[/spoiler*] (without the *) -=- Error #134 Error #134 is usually caused by a corrupted file. However, we have also seen this error message being caused by hard drive issues such as bad sectors or due to bad/mismatched RAM. To address this issue, try each of the solutions below. Code: World of WarCraft: Retail Build (build 14480) Exe: C:\Program Files (x86)\World of Warcraft\Wow.exe Time: Aug 30, 2011 11:15:22.322 AM User: Computer: This application has encountered a critical error: ERROR #134 (0x85100086) Fatal condition! Program: C:\Program Files (x86)\World of Warcraft\WoW.exe ProcessID: 1212 Failed to open required archive Data\enUS\expansion3-speech-enUS.MPQ. Streaming Status: Data Rdy Step 1 - Remove and Repair In the example above, the file expansion3-speech-enUS.MPQ appears to be the source of the corruption. Find and delete this file. These files can generally be found in your World of Warcraft\Data or World of Warcraft\Data\enUS directory. Note: Do not delete the entire enUS folder, doing so may require you to reinstall the game. Once the file has been deleted, run the Repair Utility found in your World of Warcraft directory. Running the Repair Utility will check your game files and replace them if they are found to be corrupt. If you do not have the most current version of the Repair Utility installed, you can download it from us directly. Once the repair is finished, try playing again. Step 2 - Check for RAM Errors Doing a scan of the computer's physical memory can help you identify memory (RAM) problems which could cause this issue. We are tentatively recommending users try memory scan utilities such as the Windows Memory Diagnostic, available directly from Microsoft. We recommend the extended test suite, which takes the longest time to run but is the most thorough test suite available with this tool. Please ensure that you follow the directions properly when using the tool. If any errors are found while it runs it could indicate that a physical error exists with your memory (RAM) and you will want to contact your system manufacturer or the RAM manufacturer for assistance in replacing it. Windows Vista includes its own RAM diagnostic tool, please see our Windows Vista Memory Diagnostic Tool article for instructions. Step 3 - Update Motherboard/Video Drivers Make sure you have all the latest Mot
