Unanswered question This question has not been answered yet. HI, I have serveral non HMC-attched Power5 AIX nodes in managed with csm 1.5.1. My definitions for HWControlPoint,HWControlNodeId,PowerMethod seemed to be okay, becaus rpower-command works. I have configured always the HMC2-Ports within the addressrange of the csm Management-VLAN. These Adresses are the HWControlPoints. The Powermethod is fsp, and the HWControlNodeId ist the address/name of the node in the Management-Vlan. When I try to do: rconsole -n 'HWControlNodeId' I got the follwing message in the rconsole-window: The open failed. -The session may already be open on another management console -The server may not be ready to accept connections. Error in communication path to the partition The nodes are running in singlepartition mode. Do you have any idea, what's my mistake? Log in to reply. If you're using 'fsp' ConsoleMethod, and if you are briging these FSPs up initially, it sounds like you need to redirect the console to the virtual 'side'. By default, the FSP is set to use physical TTY for console. To redirect console to the virtual 'side', you can issue the following rpower command: rpower -n

In a time when information is considered the latest commodity, information security should be top priority. A Practical Guide to Security Engineering and Information Assurance gives you an engineering approach to information security and information assurance (IA). The book examines the impact of accidental and malicious intentional action and inaction on information security and IA. Innovative long-term vendor, technology, and application-independent strategies show you how to protect your critical systems and data from accidental and intentional action and inaction that could lead to system failure or compromise.
