(and a similar error in IE and Chrome): Code: Error in extras bootstrap [TypeError: window.logger.child is not a function] Any ideas on what would cause this error? I am on netbeans 6.9.1 and glassfish 3.0.1. I have J2EE app with an ejb and a web app using facelets. I'm surprised nobody else is complaining about this as I see the same error on every browser and on the Mac and PC. I suspect theres some icefaces javascript causing the problem. Thanks Lee 31/Oct/2010 11:05:41 Subject: Re:Error in extras bootstrap [TypeError: window.logger.child is not a function] lazyman Joined: 02/May/2009 00:00:00 Messages: 12 Offline I use Netbeans 6.7.1 and Glassfish ESB, with some ejb and webapp with facelets too... I hope it's not javascript problem but some sort of dependecy problem or something, because that can be fixed more quickly :) btw. first showed page, e.g. login page don't poput that message... v ...anything is possible... 31/Oct/2010 12:02:29 Subject: Re:Error in extras bootstrap [TypeError: window.logger.child is not a function] axlesoft Joined: 06/Jan/2009 00:00:00 Messages: 189 Offline It appears to be coming from the extras.js in the compat library. Code: try { Ice.DnD.init(); Ice.Autocompleter.logger = logger.child('autocomplete'); Ice.StateMon.checkAll(); Ice.StateMon.rebuild(); } catch(ee) { alert('Error in extras bootstrap [' + ee + ']'); } I'm going to try commenting out the alert just to see if it throws any other errors. 31/Oct/2010 14:30:11 Subject:

I've currently tried using the example code provided by the Bootstrap project (http://twitter.github.com/bootstrap/javascript.html#tabs) and a few tweaks but get 'undefined is not a function' on load. The JS files are preloaded in the right order (jQuery, libs/bootstrap/*, my script.js file/the script mixed in the html), standard jQuery commands (hide etc) all work fine so it doesn't appear to be related to the noConflict() option. It sounds to me like you might have two copies of jQuery on the page. If you remove the extra copy, or use jQuery.noConflict(); it should fix the problem. mikebranderhorst commented Feb 1, 2012 Mottie, thats not the case. I use apache to combine js and css. .htaccess
