ADSM-L AT VM.MARIST DOT EDU Date: Tue, 11 May 2004 14:50:55 -0400 Looks like a lot of us are having problems with this lately. I have a new client, Oracle 9.2.0.4.0 on AIX 5.1 ML5. TSM BA Client 5.1.5.0 and TDPO 5.2.0.0 - all 64bit. H/W is a IBM p630. I configured the TSM and TDP part as we have on a nearly indentical system. Other system works with TDPO, this one doesn't. Other system is an RS6000 - B80 http://www.freelists.org/post/oracle-l/Tivoli-for-Oracle-SBT-error-7011-errno-2507 in 64 bit mode. Basically RMAN can't open libobk.a. We have links: $ORACLE_HOME/lib/libobk.a -> /usr/tivoli/tsm/client/oracle/bin64/libobk64.a.. Library path has $ORACLE_HOME before /usr/lib. dsm.sys, dsm.opt are in the ../ba/bin directory and api/bin64 and oracle/bin64 have links to them. tdpo.opt is configured as on other system (with different node names of course). Oracle DBA and I have https://adsm.org/lists/html/ADSM-L/2004-05/msg00234.html spent part of 3 days trying to get it to work. I had originally used tdpoconf with password and showenv several times when I installed and it worked. Then yesterday (after we had spent a lot of time checking and trying and reading docs and tips), I ran showenv again and it failed - said couldn't load libobk64.a! I compared file with one on other system and saw no difference. I then uninstalled the two TDPO filesets and reinstalled and then showenv works. But RMAN still can't open libobk.a. DBA has worked with Oracle and they say is Tivoli problem. DBA has even done some relinking and other Oracle stuff. We have looked at permissions and environment variables till we are bug eyed. Also read Neil Rasmussen's docs from May 7 posting. We have rebooted several times also. BTW: The BA client works o.k. The RMAN messages below. (Could this be an AIX problem?) The machines that are getting the error do indeed have an SPN set (and query able) - but the common denominator is that they are running as Local System. Can we confirm this is still a bug? GetSQL2008SPNState.vbs : The Query 'SELECT ProtocolName error in FROM ServerNetworkProtocol where Enabled = true and InstanceName = 'MSSQLSERVER'' did not return any valid instances. Please check to see if this is a valid WMI Query.. Invalid class I may have answered my own question here, I believe setting the correct WMI permissions per the MP guide (and then running the mofcomp command) worked.
