Click configure, make sure it points to your cd drive. I use this plugin and it reads ps1 discs just fine. 2) do you have a ps1 bios? the emulator does NOT come with one, you must either rip your own of download one from the net. its called "scph1001.bin". get that put it in the bios folder, then go to config > bios, and select that bios. I dont think its the problem, but make sure you have your directX up to date: https://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/d... If non of these things work, try another emulator. i find: http://pcsxr.codeplex.com/ emulator actually better then epsxe (and it gets updates more). all the default plugins are fine for this emulator. I haven't tried using actual game cds on ePSXe for a while but I know it used to work. But I tried loading up Final Fantasy 7 today on 1.5.2 but it just didn't load the game up. The same thing happened when i tried it with 1.60. It said in the black command screen on 1.5.2 cd-rom open but nothing was happening and I couldn't hear the disk being read. I tried SaPu's CD-ROM Plugin 1.0 also but an error just repeatedly came up saying failed to initialsie read mode. I don't think the problem lies with my cdrom drive as it plays PC games and other cd's fine, its just PSX games. If someone can help it ill be much appreciated Thanks 21st-September-200508:42 #2 SegNin View Profile View Forum Posts View Blog Entries Super Moderator Teh Big Banana Join Date Oct 2003 Location Inside of a Final Fantasy NES cartridge... I get an error message that says "* error in init aspi (235)"I have no idea in the slightest as to what this means Just thought it may help to get to the bottom of this. thanks for your time.PeteBernertAdminStatus:OfflineDate registered: 04.10.2003Post:818Send Message error in init Created on 17.04.2005 - 09:27My advice: delete _all_ files from the plugin folder, and check twice that you have the (not zipped!) bios file in the bios folder. Then copy just the Peops soft gpu in the plugin folder, and try to configure epsxe. If all goes well, you can add more plugins (like hw/accel gpus or better sound plugins) in the plugin folder, and try to use those. For your ASPI problem: the " "ePSXe CDR ASPI core 1.5.2." plugin needs (as the name is hinting) the ASPI libraries from Adaptec. You can get them from www.ngemu.com, I think.
