Geek Forums / Microsoft Office Access 2003 Error in Loading error in loading dll access DLL (1 post) Started 4 years ago by upfrontcomputers Topic Viewed 931 times upfrontcomputers Posts: 1 error in loading dll excel This post has been reported. Hiya I am currently running Window 7 Home Premium 64 bit with Microsoft Office 2003 installed. The problems I https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/833220 am having is when I am on Access 03 and creating a table in design view, when I use the lookup wizard is tells me that 'Object Library not Registered' then I action the Lookup wizard and it says 'Error in Loading DLL' I have reinstalled the MS Office and it still http://www.howtogeek.com/forum/topic/access-2003-error-in-loading-dll doesnt work. I have also tried many things going by Microsoft's website and googled the problem but no luck I have also tried downloading the DLL's and copying them in the directory but I tells me I need permission to make changes. I am logging into the system as the Administrator and have 'special permissions' already set, but it wont let me change anything with the permissons as its all greyed out and unchangeable? Please help Thanks Kelvin Reports: · Posted 4 years ago Top Topic Closed This topic has been closed to new replies. This application uses VBA (Visual Basic 6) and this cannot be changed. We are in the midst of a conversion from Windows XP (where the application runs fine) to Windows 7. error in loading On Windows 7, attempts to connect to the Sybase databsae fail. The application uses a pass through query and when the failure occurs, I receive the following message: An unexpected error occurred in Call_SP. Error number: 48 Error description: Error in loading DLL Error source: Secure open security The particular line of code where this is throwing the error is: For Each qryDef In dbLocal.QueryDefs The items in this line of code are defined like this: Dim dbLocal As Database Dim qryDef As QueryDef Set dbLocal = CurrentDb() When originally launching the application, there was a missing reference for Microsoft DAO 3.6 Object Library. I copied the dao360.dll file to C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\DAO, registered it using regsvr32.exe, and set the reference (Tools -> References) to this file. At this point, I suspect the problem may have something to do with user rights on this machine, but I'm stuck on where to start. Users do have "read and execute" rights on the dao360.dll file. We have a lot of legacy apps written in Access, so our systems use Access 2003, but Word, Excel, and Outlook 2010. We are moving to Windows 7 64-bit. ms-access vba windows-7 dao share|improve this questi

Posts: 14 Thanks: 0 Thanked 0 Times in 0 Posts error in loading DLL in Access 2003 I have an ADP that runs fine in Access XP but in Access 2003 this statement: currentproject.accessconnection produces this error: error in loading DLL Does anyone know which DLL contains the code for this statement? Better yet, when Access produces really unhelpful error messages like this is there any way to find out exactly what the problem is? I have tried running the Office repair process. I want to avoid reinstalling Office 2003 if possible (because I will lose all my customizations) but if it is the only way then so be it. PS I am really annoyed that the error message does not say which DLL it cannot load - this seems incredibly lazy coding.
