New to the forum and to Revit. I've been experiencing some odd behavior in Revit and I don't know if it is me (likely) or the software (more likely!). I have a need to create a mass (or surface) from a selection of splines. For my application, the more splines I can add to the form the closer I can get to the shape I desire. However, when I select a a number of splines for a mass sometimes revit creates the mass and sometimes it doesn't (errors). I can't determine what causes the function to error out. I've been able to create some masses with a dozen splines and others crap out with only three! I've attached a file as an example. There are four chains in the file that I want to use to create a form. They're numbered 1 to 4 with 1 being cloest to the origin. I can create a form with any two chains and I can create a form with chains 1,2 and 4. A form with chains 1,3 and 4 fails and so does a form using all four chains. can anybody give some insight into that the problem is? BTW, the name of the file may give you some insight into what I'm trying to achieve. can you guess? It usually was a slight error in the different shapes like a line not completely closed. But can't locate this with you. Tricky stuff this is, sorry. FORGET everything you know about surface and solid modeling that you learned in your previous 3D modeling programs, Revit does not work the same way. 2. Surfaces in Revit will only "loft" or form across curves (splines) in your case if the re
