I've had this problem as well, and I thought I'd help out those who get it too. There are 3 ways of installing the drivers, and one of them works the best when changing from 30.xx's to 40.xx's. This is easy, all you do is go into the add/remove programs and uninstall the video drivers for Xp/2000 or whatever OS you might have. Reboot. If you have ANY software running in error in nvqtwk the background, now is the time to get rid of it. THe most important kind of software is virus software. You should either disable it, or exit it completely. Otherwise you'll get problems and more mayhem after installation. From there, you can either double click the installer, or executable, or you can go into the video adapter settings and hit the "update driver" button. Reboot after you install. It should work from now on, and if not I'd be glad to help out for those people who get this error still, or perhaps other errors like it. I'm currently running the 40.72's, but I think I'll go back to the 30.82's because of it's stability and the fact that it's 100% free of any bugs. l8er ry71984 « Previous Thread | Next Thread » Thread Tools Show Printable Version Display Modes Linear Mode Switch to Hybrid Mode Switch to Threaded Mode Posting Rules You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts BB code is On Smilies are On [IMG] code is On HTML code is Off Forum Rules Forum Jump User Control Panel Private Messages Subscriptions Who's Online Search Forums Forums Home General Chat The Guru's Pub Folding@Home - Join Team Guru3D !
