Error Message When you receive an error message in Outlook 2003 that says you have an error in the registry for Exchange Extensions: "The syntax or http://www.outlook-tips.net/tips/tip-279-exchange-extensions-error-message/ format of the registry entry is incorrect. This error means you have a corrupt registry key. While you can edit the registry to fix the problem, you really should upgrade to the latest SP for Outlook 2003 to correct it for good. Just edit the registry entry below. Note The Exchange Extensions string value in the registry may become corrupted again and you may have to repeat these steps. 1. Quit Outlook 2003. 2. Click Start, click Run, type regedit in the Open box, and then click OK. 3. Expand the registry, and then click to select the following subkey: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESoftwareMicrosoftExchangeClientExtensions 4. Right-click Exchange Extensions, and then click Delete. 5. Click Yes to confirm the deletion of the Exchange Extensions string value. 6. On the File menu, click Exit to quit Registry Editor.
