Network Device System Center - Operations Manager > Operations Manager - General Question 0 Sign in to vote Hi All, Let me know you first understand the scenario - Currently there are 13 Network devices (Cisco Switch) & around 38 Window’s Server being monitored from SCOM 2012 Sp1. According to Network vicinity dashboard all servers connected with particular switch should be visible in dashboard, but it’s showing 22 servers connected with one switch & in all other dashboards no server is visible. Physically there are around 5-8 Machines connected with each Cisco Switch & all Server's & Switches succcessfully monitored from SCOM While running the network discovery wizard on SCOM Server it’s showing below event in Operations Manager Event Viewer: Please let me know if any one faced this similar issue & share the resolution steps. Thanks Rahul$ Friday, January 17, 2014 5:07 PM Reply | Quote Answers 0 Sign in to vote Hi, Possible Resolutions Stale Discovery Data – Device has been reconfigured since the last discovery and Operations Manager is attempting to monitor a component that no longer exists on the device. If the device doesn’t support the workflow, then a solution is to disable the workflows utilizing the value for the device. This will prevent these workflows loading and failing in the future.Possibly a device issue, try updating the Firmware and OS on the devicePossible a discovery issue where the instance is being discovered incorrectly. For example Operations Manager is expecting to monitor a performance counter but this is a virtual interface and the counters are not present for the interface. Try running a

Perhaps you need to check out through another snmp tool (snmp walk or something) or through commands what it is http://www.networksteve.com/forum/topic.php/Network_Devices:_id_11009_Error_in_SNMP_GET_response_from_IP_Add/?TopicId=119293&Posts=3 that is living there on that OID mentioned in the alert. If you don't want to recieve this message, we can override or disablethe corresponding rule or monitor. Here is a blog regarding to SCOM 2012 network monitoring, please go through it: What Gets Monitored with System Center Operations Manager 2012 Network Monitoring http://blogs.technet.com/b/momteam/archive/2011/09/20/what-gets-monitored-with-system-center-operations-manager-2012-network-monitoring.aspx Free Windows Admin Tool Kit Click here and download it now August 14th, 2014 9:54am Hi Yan Li, Thanks for the reply. I used a snmp tool to look in the mib if there is something in the oid, and it returns nothing. So i believe that is nothing in that OID. The problem began immediately after i start monitoring the devices, so the problem of new configuration after the device were found doesn't exist. How can i override this specific OID? Thanks, Rui August 14th, 2014 10:06am Hi, If we can find the corresponding device according to the OID, and then we could override the monitor or rule for thi
