What happens if you start sbcl from the command line on your SLIME folder and evaluate (load "swank-loader.lisp") (swank-loader:init) (swank:create-server) then connect to that from Emacs using M-x slime-connect? Eugene-Ye commented Nov 21, 2014 Well,emacs 24.3,the last version of slime from github,sbcl1.1.4.0(I used 1.2.1 first,also failed).
