You mean directly edit that VCX file, as a Foxpro table? SCX/VCX have the identical structure - the only difference is that in a VCX each record pair is a class definition, in an SCX each record pair is a form object definition. You can open them directly as a table with the USE command by specifying the extension: USE form_name.scx OR USE classlib_name.vcx> > [2] SCX and VCX have a column named "ClassLoc" which is where the source for the defined object is stored. This column will have the path that was relevant when the object was created. That is the path that is used and, if it is not current, will be why y

There has a class folder called class under c drive.I rename the class folder to class.60 under c drive. In the project, I remove the old https://www.foxite.com/archives/error-instantiating-class-0000069199.htm class object and relocate the class object under class.60.Finally I rebuild the whole project. When I run the application, it keeps prompting me the error "error instantiating class cannot find c:\class\main.vcx".I don't know why it keeps locating the "old path".CrazyDay ENTIRE THREAD error instantiating class Posted by CrazyDay @ 6/1/2005 6:06:15 AM RE: error instantiating class Posted by Lucy Alice Pilanga @ 6/1/2005 6:39:10 AM RE: error instantiating class Posted by CrazyDay @ 6/1/2005 8:24:11 AM RE: error instantiating class Posted by Lucy Alice Pilanga @ 6/1/2005 9:05:20 AM RE: error instantiating class Posted by Ken Murphy @ 6/1/2005 1:52:57 PM RE: error instantiating class Posted by Barbara Peisch @ 6/1/2005 8:34:05 PM

This library must be included in your application or at least available on the disk when you are executing the form. Solution: Add the class library into the Project. usually this library is to be found here: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual FoxPro 9\Wizards If it's not there anymore (or whereever you installed VFP ;-) ), then you should copy it from another PC, where it still exists.
