Impact: none. Just roll out the hotfix with UpdateManager.Cheers,Frank Like Show 0 Likes (0) Actions 2. We are still seeing the issue and currently are unable to use the "Patch." Serrano Aug 12, 2013 rorkijon Energy, 101-250 Employees We have the same issue on 2008 R2 acting as Remote Desktop Server (Terminal Server as was). It's all very well hiding the issue by disabling the logging of the errors, but since the service is required to be operating correctly for VEEAM to create backups we need a fix because the backup fails otherwise. Currently I have a script to kill all running processes of vmtoolsd.exe and then restart the VMTools service - then we can re-run the VEEAM job. We've been working with VMWare/VEEAM support for two weeks now (getting nowhere fast...) - anyone offering a fix for this (revert to old version of VMWare Tools maybe?)
