It is not needed. It is a bug in VBA that appeared about six months ago with one of Microsoft's hot fixes as far as I can tell. It gets introduced when one adds a refedit to a userform. Some installations can handle it, some can not. I can uncheck it, but if I close the window and reopen it, the box is reset to the checked position. After digging it out of the archives and loading error in loading the project onto an XP machine it is now running into problems. In the code I am trying to set an Excel.Worksheet object variable to the sheet object of an Excel.Workbook. Here's an example of the source code... Dim objSht2 As Excel.Worksheet Set objSht2 = objWkb.Worksheets(2) The above error message gets generated upon execution of the second line where I attempt to set the worksheet object. I am using OfficeXP and reference the "Microsoft Excel 10.0 Object Library" in the VB project. I know this is kind of obscure but does anyone have any ideas where I can start looking to try to track this error down? Thanks! Welcome Message to New users Spam Sample File Get "Error loading DLL" when trying to add PowerPoint Reference Library Discussion in 'VBA Macros' started by Steve S., Feb 8, 2015. Steve S. New Member Messages: 4 I am trying to add the object library for PowerPoint but when I go into "Tools" and select "References" and then scroll down and check it, I get an error message that says "Error in loading DLL". Does anyone know why? Steve S., Feb 8, 2015 #1 NARAYANK991 Excel Ninja Messages: 14,053 Hi Steve , This error can be displayed if the file does not exist in its required default location. For example on my computer , when I look at the library : Microsoft Powerpoint 12.0 Object Library the relevant file is shown by the dialog as : C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office12\MSPPT.OLB The 12 refers to Office 2007 ; if your version is 2010 , it will be 14.0 , and if it is 2013 , it will be 15.0 If the relevant file does not exist in the expected path , then you will have to use the Browse feature to locate it and then specify that as the library to be loaded. Narayan NARAYANK991, Feb 9, 2015 #2 Steve S. New Member Messages: 4 Thank you so much, Narayan. That worked perfectly and I appreciate your help.
