Command: xshow" JoMoIQ Sep 11, 2014 9:19 AM i saw similar discussions that were not exactly what I was looking for, so I decided to post my own:I have a critically important document that I've created that is refusing to print correctly due to the errors in my thread title here. After a lot of trial and error (different machines,

different OS's, etc.) we've determined that it is a problem with the font inclusion, however, the "offending" font(s) - it's an OpenType Google Font Family - is one that I've used in dozens of other PDF's, in all sorts of combinations and variants, and have never had an issue before this document. This is coming at a critically inconvenient time, given the nature of the project and given that the aforementioned font (Roboto), is part of our brand identity. I have made a PDF with the type converted to outlines, but that balloons the file size up to around 11MB (from 278KB). I dont mind the conversion, but if there were a way to do this and reduce the size to something more manageable, I'd be thrilled (ideally <5 MB).The document is ALL (relatively simple) vector imagery and fonts, and I've not yet experimented with the resolution slider in the text outlining portion of the PDF dialogue (have no idea how relevant this would be in a vector document, given that it's not RASTERIZING the outlined type).Any help

See if you can disable embedded fonts on the printer. 0 Habanero OP Randy1699 Jan 11, 2013 at error invalidfont offending 8:34 UTC Or tell the program to not use the TrueType. Change to soft font. 0 Poblano OP Tyler5228 Jan 17, 2013 at 2:17 UTC How do I change the fonts in Adobe Acrobat XI to soft font only? That is mainly the program causing issues. 0 Jalapeno OP Keebs Dec 11, 2013 at 4:10 UTC I just ran into this same issue with a user printing a Word document to PDF then printing to a BizHub with a PS driver. In the end I had to go to Devices and Printers, Adobe PDF printing preferences and click Edit next to the Default Settings. Under Fonts I took the check mark out of Embed All Fonts and saved the setting as Standard(1). Saved all of that and it worked just fine. One set of fonts changed a little but it wasn't enough to make a fuss over. 0 Pimiento OP DrexxTX Jan 28, 2015 at 10:46 UTC 1st Post I solved the problem by changing the font on the original document (Calibri to Times New Roman). One box has decided to not print out the majority of the installed fonts while the other just merrily prints along. The box giving problems had WPO10 installed, so I removed it and installed WPO11 to make both boxes "identical". Evidently they are not identical as the new install is acting just like it did prior. Some fonts, like times roman and arial print fine, but the majority of the "non-windows" based fonts do not, giving the following two error messages. ERROR: invalidfont OFFENDING COMAND: show STACK: ( ) -or- ERROR: invalidfont OFFENDING COMMAND: xshow STACK: [102 540100 96 74 100 67 55 67 100 74 73 0 ] ( ) The xshow error is by far the more prevelant of the two errors and obviously the stack values differ each time. I have no idea as to where to look for the error; the corel searchable database is of no help whatsoever nor do the FAQs address this question, at least, I couldn't find anything. Any suggestions greatly appreciated. dave Reply With Quote 08-28-200502:18 PM #2 mrtnvnl View Profile View Forum Posts Co-Administrator Join Date Aug 2002 Location Netherlands WP version: 10.990 OS version: Vista Home Premium Network: Sometimes Posts 5,377 Dave, Welcome to WPU! This problem is not WordPerfect specific. It might be for you but according to a quick Google search it also happens with other applications like MS-Word, Outlook and others. That makes it a printer(driver) error. Clearly you have a Postscript printer. This particular error indicates that there was some sort of formatting or syntax error in the data sent to the printer. How is the printer connected? This could be caused by a few different things: There may be a firmware bug in the printer. Try upgrading the firmware. The printer driver i
