I'm running Windows 2000 sp4 and trying to install some UPS software supplied by APC but get the following message: "Error Number: 0x80040706. Description: Object reference not set. Setup will now terminate". The software suppliers pointed me here.... http://consumer.installshield.com/kb.asp?id=Q110641 .... but this hasn't helped. Even the InstallShield Engine update fails with the same error !! I've searched through the forums but can't find a definitive answer to fix this (other than re-installing the O/S !!). Can anyone help me ?? Thanks in anticipation.
