OE timeout error just started happening this morning. I went into options and set the timeout to 5 minutes. Still can't receive email. I totally http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windowslive/forum/livemail-email/windows-live-mail-error-id-0x800ccc19-how-do-i-fix/a670acf6-e08e-4ef2-8b71-06f1428a865a disabled Norton Security, anti-virus, firewall, everything, still can't receive mail. I can receive it from comcast's website. And, the funny thing is, I can also receive mail from my second identity through outlook express. I checked option for option, and account details and everything is set exactly the same for both identities. I http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/88513-45-outlook-express-error-0x800ccc19 sent a test message to myself and I can send just fine. When I try to receive email it says: A time-out occurred while communicating with the server. Account: 'mail.comcast.net', Server: 'mail.comcast.net', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Error Number: 0x800CCC19 I don't know what all you need, I'm using Outlook Express 6, Internet Explorer, cable connection, WindowsXP, Norton Security (though I disabled it for the test)... Update: I was looking, for the millionth time, at all the options, account properties, and I didn't touch anything. As a matter of fact, after looking I hit cancel instead of o.k. to make sure nothing would change. Anyway, I hit cancel when I was done looking and I started to receive email. I've been at this since 4 am. I would still like anyone's opinion of what could have been happening. I

Windows 7: error 0x800ccc19 download from POP3 Page 1 of 2 1 2 > 02 May 2012 #1 unlive 7 professional 64 bit 5 posts error 0x800ccc19 download from POP3 When downloading email from POP3 error number server to Live Mail about 50% of the time I get the 0x800ccc19 error message after it downloads some of my messages. If I try again right away it asks me for my password and then tells me that it is wrong (which it isn't) If I wait for a few hours to ask for mail again, the same messages will be downloaded again with a few more error number 0x800ccc19 and may or may not decide to "complete". I can go into the servers mailbox and delete the messages that are supposidly causing the problem. The frustration is that there is no rhyme nor reason to what messages Live Mail does not like to download. Sometimes I will do nothing and Live Mail WILL download everything later. I formerly had Outlook Express which worked just fine with my old XP computer. This is no longer available with Windows 7. I have tried almost everything I guess except the elusive cure. eg turned off antivirus, tried program repair, reinstalling Live Mail. I imagine this description is too long but I cannot imagine that I am the only one with this problem so I hope someone can help ... please. Your connection to the mailserver will then time out. The solution is to download the Internet Explorer 6 Service Pack 1 from Microsoft which should fix the problem. Please see this link to Microsoft OE6/SP1. Using OE6 with Norton Antivirus or McAfee products If you have already installed the SP1 for OE6, this problem may still occur when the following conditions are met. First, you have Norton Antivirus 2003 or 2002 installed. Second, you have "Scan incoming Email" and "Scan outgoing Email" turned on. Note that this may also be true when you use McAfee software products. To prevent this problem when you use NAV and Outlook or Outlook Express, follow the steps below to turn off e-mail scanning. Quit Outlook or Outlook Express. Start Norton AntiVirus Click Options. If a menu appears when you click Options, click Norton AntiVirus. The Norton AntiVirus Options dialog box appears. In the Internet section, click Email. Click to clear the "Scan incoming Email" and "Scan outgoing Email" check box. Click OK and close NAV. For additional information, you can also visit this link to the Symantec Web site. Special note It is also reported that a certain version of the Panda antivirus software is also having this problem.
