A Database Error Occurred Error Number: 1054 Unknown column ‘sess_start’ in ‘field list’ INSERT INTO `exp_sessions` (`admin_sess`, `session_id`, `ip_address`, `user_agent`, `member_id`, `last_activity`, `sess_start`, `fingerprint`) VALUES (1, ‘2050e961294359515d6732a160850dcb2491a826’, ‘81.xxx.xxx.xxx’, ‘Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_9_5) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/43.0.2357.130 Safari/537.36’, 1, 1435579185, 1435579185, ‘b89d80a5323e17c04cc0bfec10a1b2fa’) Filename: libraries/Session.php Line Number: 409 Any ideas how this could be resolved? error share|improve this question asked Jun 29 '15 at 14:41 Jose 11 Well did you investigate that database table and column to see if it exists? –jrothafer Jun 29 '15 at 14:47 @jchrono-battle I just checked. I don't seem to have 'sess_start' as a field. Shall I just create one? –Jose Jun 29 '15 at 15:08 add a comment| 1 Answer 1 active oldest votes up vote 0 down vote Sounds like your database migration failed somehow. With conditions like that, I usually re-attempt the data migration. Yes, you can just create that column, but you might run into other malformed migrated tables. Make sure you look at your original database server, and that you create a column with identical properties to the original that didn't get created on migration. Let me know what happens. share|improve this answer answered Jun 29 '15 at 15:15 jrothafer 3,8702521 add a comment| Your Answer draft saved draft discarded Sign

To narrow it down, I removed field by field from the template After the error disappeared, I deleted the channel field and recreated it with the same settings. Now just revert all changes to the template and you're good to go. The error has since disappeared. share|improve this answer answered Apr 6 '14 at 13:35 Franz 1218 add a comment| up vote 0 down vote The issue is that in a checkbox field, neither "Populate the menu manually" or "Populate the menu from another channel field" has been selected. Choose any of them and the error will be gone :D share|improve this answer answered Sep 26 '14 at 4:59 SirCharles 111 add a comment| Your Answer draft saved draft discarded Sign up or log in Sign up using Google Sign up using Facebook Sign up using Email and Password Post as a guest Name Email Post as a guest Name Email discard By posting your answer, you agree to the privacy policy and terms of service.
