Solved Ghost not mounting hard http://www.symantec.com/connect/forums/invalid-destination-drive drive with error "Invalid Destination Drive" Posted on 2008-07-02 Software-Other 2 Verified Solutions 3 Comments 1,836 Views Last Modified: 2012-06-27 Hello, I am trying to image an HP xw6600 using a script made through LANDesk (a workstation management tool). LANDesk executes a script that uses Ghost 11 as it's imaging tool. When trying to image, Ghost gives the error https://www.experts-exchange.com/questions/23534020/Ghost-not-mounting-hard-drive-with-error-Invalid-Destination-Drive.html "Invalid Destination Drive". Here are the troubleshooting steps I took: - from a command prompt, ran "diskpart", "list partition", "list disk" and "list volume" commands, no volumes partitions or disks were found - went into the BIOS and made sure the HD was detected, and it was - booted up the pc normally to see if the existing OS will load, it did - swapped out the HD with a known good one, still got same error - used the same LANDesk script to image another PC of a different model, that worked fine Attached is the GHOSTERR.TXT file that was generated. I know for a fact that LANDesk adds this line to it "Command line arguments: -clone,mode=load,src=i:\#NEW#\DESKTOP\WXP3UIU.GHO,dst=1 -noIDE -fni -ffx -sure -auto" Anyone have any ideas? thanks! I get the following error: -------------------------------------------------------- Error Number: (11030) Message: Invalid destination drive Problem: Can't error number 11030 recover it, it won't boot up to Windows XP, so I need to recover it. When I put the Recovery DVD, Reovery comes up asking... "1...Recover Entire Hard Disk 2...Expert Recovery Mode 3...Exit" I choose number one, once I have pressed 1, a similar screen comes up saying... "Caution! The contents of the hard disk will be deleted 1...Continue 2...Cancel" Again, I press 1 to continue. The screen goes blank again and Toshiba screen flashes up for less than a second and goes blank again with the words "!!!!!ERROR!!!!! Press Any Key To Continue"... Once I press any key, the screen remains blank with this message now on the monitor: "Date: Thu Nov 4 08:57:48 2005 Error Number: (11030) Message: Invalid Destination drive ---------- (PgUp]/[PgDn][ESC]" Once I press ESC, this screen comes up and this is where I can't go further: X:\> X:\> -------------------------------------------------------- This is where I am stuck and cannot go further.
