Copy the Acrobat 5 folder from the Acrobat CD-ROM to the desktop. 2. Open the Acrobat 5 folder on the desktop, locate the Readme.htm file, and rename it Readme.html . 3. Double-click the Setup.exe file, and follow the on-screen instructions. Solution 2 If Acrobat is installed on Windows 95 and the CD-ROM drive uses a real mode driver, update to a protected mode driver so that file names are no longer truncated to eight characters and file extensions are no longer truncated to three characters (for example, Readme.htm). For more information about updating to a protected mode driver, contact Microsoft or the computer manufacturer. To determine if the CD-ROM drive uses a real mode driver: 1. Right-click My Computer, choose Properties from the pop-up menu, and then click the Performance tab in the System Properties dialog box. 2.
