Our user went from 7.405 back to 6.30 for the Mac OSX operating system. 1310-77544-489857 Back to top Brian Gavin Members #3 Brian Gavin 91 posts Posted 14 June 2006 - 09:41 PM Is there a fix out there yet for this? Solved Mac client getting "Error Number 196" when printing from Citrix Posted on 2010-11-03 Citrix Windows Server 2008 Apple OS 1 Verified Solution 4 Comments 1,308 http://discussions.citrix.com/topic/77544-printer-error-number-196/ Views Last Modified: 2012-08-14 Hey Everyone, We have an interesting issue going on here - We currently have 1 Citrix XenApp 5.0 server on Windows Server 2008. One location that connects up to us remotely is using Mac machines, and I'm having an issue with one user trying to print. Other people in the same office, printing to the same printer, experience no issues. But this one user gets https://www.experts-exchange.com/questions/26589210/Mac-client-getting-Error-Number-196-when-printing-from-Citrix.html a "Error Number 196" box pop up whether they try to print documents or if I try to send a test print to them from the server while they're connected. I have had the user log onto other machines that are working fine for other people, but they specifically still experience the issue. If the user clicks "okay" in the error 196 box, the print job disappears from the printer queue (when looking at it server side) and never is printed. On the server, I have changed from using the correct driver for the printer to both the HP Universal Print Driver and the Citrix Universal Print Driver, and nothing has changed. I have also re-named the local profile on the server, thinking that maybe it had become corrupted some how, but once again, no luck. Any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
