That's nowhere near the two-billion limit for a variable string. It fails on the highlighted line below. The function sends a request for data from a server, waits for the data transfer to be complete (ReadyState = 4) then returns the XML stream to the invoker. I have 8G of ram so I'm not running out of memory. So I have 2 questions: 1) Is this a limitation of VBA/Functions, the MSXML2.XMLHTTP object or something else? 2) Is my only recourse writing the response out and reading it back in? Or use a gosub routine and skip the function call? Set fo = fso.CreateTextFile(Path, True) fo.WriteLine (objRequest.responseText) fo.Close Thank you, Jnana ------------------------------------------------ Function WebAPI_Service(strConnURL As String, strQueryUrl As String, strUser As String, strPass As String) As String Dim objRequest As Object Dim i As Long Dim Tries As Long Tries = 0 Set objRequest = New MSXML2.XMLHTTP With objRequest .Open "POST", strConnURL, True, strUser, strPass .setRequestHeader "Content-Type", "application/x-www-form-urlencoded" .send (strQueryUrl) Try_Again: On Error GoTo Waiter WebAPI_Service = objRequest.responseText End With Exit Function Waiter: If Err.Number = -2147483638 Then 'Not finished with query Do Until objRequest.ReadyState = 4 DoEvents Tries = Tries + 1 Loop WebAPI_Service = objRequest.responseText Exit Function End If End Function Jnana Sivananda Edited by Jnana Wednesday, October 16, 2013 3:40 PM Wednesday, October 16, 2

The web page is a big GIS thing that maps out all of the block groups of Georgia within certain counties, so it's about 15MB of pure [latitude, longitude] points in a .js file. In chrome/firefox, the map loads up, then the script is http://stackoverflow.com/questions/11833319/ie-error-2147024882 loaded which triggers a callback to draw the polygons it defines, and the polygons are drawn onto the map. In IE, the map is loaded, and when the script is loaded the console has a SCRIPT14: error -2147024882 on line 1. Everything displays correctly besides the polygons on the map. The structure of the .js file is a declaration of only a couple of variables. var allPolys = [ [ //poly1 points [x1,y1], [x2,y2], ... ], [ //next poly [x1,y1], ... ] ] ^^ is how each polygon is defined in the .js. Is this a size issue because all of the points are within a single array? mapping code: function drawPolys() { for (var i = 0; i < allTracts.length; i++) { var tract = "new google.maps.Polygon({ strokeWeight: 0.7, path: ["; for (var j = 0; j < allTracts[i].length; j++) tract += " new google.maps.LatLng(" + allTracts[i][j][0] + "," + allTracts[i][j][1] + "),"; tract = tract.substring(0, tract.length - 1) + "], map: map });"; eval(tract); } //this is all for other 'multipolygons' that are in some maps var colors = ['red', 'blue', 'green', 'orange', 'yellow', 'white']; for (var i = 0; i < multiPolys.length; i++) { for (v

First field is Primary key. For testing purposes I created the following code to see if I can add 1 million records using MS Access 2003 using ADODB. After adding a large number of records SQL server gives error: "out of memory, 8007000e, -2147024882". If I click debug and then continue it does not proceed further. If I exit the program and restart it using to new starting number for the primary key, I am able to add much fewer records and receive the above error. Each time a few more could be added in that way.I first tried on Windows 2008 SBS with SQL express 2005 with 8GB of RAM, 64-bit. Then i tried on vista business 2GB RAM, 32-bit with SQL Express 2008. In both same problem. Windows 2008 SBS actually let me add much fewer records! Both have latest SP for OS and SQL Server. The code is below, please comment what is wrong with this picture.Dim con As New ADODB.Connection, Rs As New ADODB.RecordsetDim strSQL As String, lngField As Long, lngCounter As LongstrSQL = "SELECT * FROM NPIDATA"con.ConnectionString = "Provider=Microsoft.Access.OLEDB.10.0;Persist Security Info=True;Data Source=localhost\SQLEXPRESS;Initial Catalog=NPI;Data Provider=SQLOLEDB.1;Integrated Security='SSPI';"""con.OpenRs.Open strSQL, con, 0, 3For lngCounter = 2000000 To 3000000 Rs.AddNew For lngField = 0 To 313 If lngField = 0 Then Rs(lngField) = lngCounter Else Rs(lngField) = 1 End If Next Rs.UpdateNextRs.CloseSet Rs = Nothingcon.CloseSet con = NothingMsgBox "done" Post #854826 Ray KRay K Posted Thursday, January 28, 2010 7:28 AM SSCrazy Group: General Forum Members Last Login: Yesterday @ 1:43 PM Points: 2,473, Visits: 4,415 amin 70510 (1/27/2010)I have a table with 314 fields. That is a LOT of columns.
