The problem seems to depend on the data. The problem does not happen on the previous version of my application. Thus I am wondering what the error means vb6 share|improve this question asked May 24 at 2:01 kirsten g 2,09042766 I am voting to close this as it is far to ambiguous. The actual error message is telling you what is wrong but from what you have posted no one could help you with why you are getting it. –Fred May 24 at 12:53 I agree... but I am waiting on more information myself. I had item declared as a MSComctlLib.ListItem the code failed at item.ListSubItems("Deliver").Bold = True because I had no such column heading. share|improve this answer answered May 25 at 9:15 kirsten g 2,09042766 add a comment| Your Answer draft saved draft discarded Sign up or log in Sign up using Google Sign up using Facebook Sign up using Email and Password Post as a guest Name Email Post as a guest Name Email discard By posting your answer, you agree to the privacy policy and terms of service. I am not using control arrays or creating controls at run time. The project runs properly when i run it from the IDE. Can anyone suggest why the problem is occuring and what is the solution for it? I tested the set up and it worked fine from the machine having visual basic installed on it. But it gives the above error when i try to test it from the machine not having Visual Basic on it. I did think of vb run time dll's missing and installed them seperately. still the problem persisted I tried to make a set up of the program using Inno Setup, still the same problem.
