Innodb Operating System Error Number 5 In A File Operation. Linux
0 down vote favorite 1 I just upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 8, however a lot of settings or files have changed and I can no longer connect to a MySQL database. The user MySQL is running under doesn't have the required permissions in C:\Program Files\MySQL\MySQL Server 5.5\data\ which is what Windows 7 UAC will be the cause of.
