'Help Desk' started by enickg, Jul 19, 2011. enickg New Email Joined: Jul 19, 2011 Messages: 1 Likes Received: 0 I am a comcast customer using WindowXP and Outlook Express on a DELL PC. how to fix outlook error 0x800ccc0d Yesterday, after bringing up Outlook Express I was unable to download new emails and received protocol: pop3, port: 110, secure(ssl): no, socket error: 10060, error number: 0x800ccc0e the following error message: Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): Yes, Socket Error: 10060, Error Number: 0x800 In addition, I tried to read socket error: 10061, error number: 0x800ccc0e. and delete existing emails but Outlook would not permit me to do so, and received the error message that "cannot send a read validation" or something similar.
