Why is the .cod file missing? I've had problems with long filenames in the past (albeit I only compile from an XP DOS Box command line rather than from inside another program). Reply With Quote - 27th July 2009,01:51 #3 BrianT Vi
and just follow the instructions on your website support page to set up the working environment and new projects using the MElabs toolsuite. Currently, I am using MPLAB 8.15a for compatibility with PBP 2.50. I have provided the hard coded "PATH" statements in my environment variables as instructed. In short everything has run well for years. Recently I decided to install Microchip C18 compiler in addition to MPLAB to get some exposure to this compile, link assemble process. Unfortunately after the installation I found that it broke my setup for working with PBP. During the install process, I placed all of the software (including MPLAB IDE) into the default locations as offered by Microchip's installers and made the correct modifications to http://www.picbasic.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=11508 the "PATH" specifications. Now when I work with my PBP aplications in MPLAB and kick off compile I get the output window and next thing I get an error to the effect that the ".COD" file could not be found. I am not sure why this occurs. All of the source files for my PBP project are present in the working directory established by the New Project Wizard. I can confirm that the ".COD" file is not created, consequentially the rest http://support.melabs.com/archive/index.php/t-783.html?s=9824042964f6ea7fe3d480844340aac9 of the process fails from that point on. What would I need to do to fix the compile problem with PBP projects? Is there a way I can use MPLAB as my IDE in both language systems? Charles Leo04-22-2013, 10:14 AMMy guess is that you now have mismatched versions of PBP, MPLAB, and MPASMWIN. I don't know if there is a way to resolve this for both C18 and PBP, short of upgrading PBP. Is your MPLAB still at version 8.15A after the C18 installation? abecker04-22-2013, 03:48 PMI checked the version of MPLAB and it still says 8.15a. I thought it best to capture the message since I am now at my system. Here it is: The output message does not give me a clue as to where the system stopped processing. Charles Leo04-23-2013, 04:01 PMDo you see the MPASMWIN progress bar popup when you compile? In the title bar of the popup, what version of MPASMWIN does it show? Also, when you open a command prompt and type the command MPASMWIN, what version pops up? abecker04-24-2013, 10:37 AMThe MPASMWIN progress bar/s are not displaying. I am sending a screen capture of MPASMWIN when kicked off from Windows Explorer. I assume the settings in the applet are some defaults and not residual from the last set of command line settings used in the IDE. 416 If I knew where processing is stopped I might be able to check the path to the need

If you've downloaded PSX2PSP on the net... chances are it won't have this essential file included. bobdole View Profile Message User Thank User 3 years ago SWEET thank
