comment - 08/Jan/13 5:57 PM To clarify, the user wants to save all code files with a UTF-8 BOM, since msvc requires that for utf-8. But setting "Add if Encoding is UTF-8" adds a BOM to .pro files. .pro files should never be saved with a BOM, since qmake exepects pure ASCII text. Currently opening a ascii text does autodetect the encoding as UTF-8. Remove the comments and save it again, the BOM still there, even you setting context menu to "save without BOM". Show liu ding added a comment - 10/Jan/13

I opened it up for the first time and tried to compile a program I had just finished using MS Visual C++ 2008, but it didn't let me compile. I tried making a simple "Hello World" program, and I get the same error. This is it: Source code 1 2 3 4 Error processing project file: D:/.../blah.pro Exited with http://www.qtforum.org/article/26476/can-t-build-anything-error-processing-project-file.html code 3. Error while building project blah When executing build step 'QMake' I noticed it's using forward slashes, which obviously is not valid for Windows, but I don't know if that has anything to do with the compile error. It won't let me edit the arguments in Projects | Build Steps, so I can't test that theory. Can someone help me with this, please?
