Error Processing Use List Module
error; design; Error processing use list Module error processing use list module globals (Globals) Technote (troubleshooting) Problem When opening a document, a error processing use list module scripted object pop-up error displays as follows: "Error processing use list Module (Globals) 'SubformName'" where SubformName contains the name of a subform used by the document. Cause This issue has been reported to Quality Engineering as SPR# HTAA5Y4AGL and determined not to be a Lotus Notes problem. The problem occurs if there is identical code in the Globals of a Form and a Subform on that form. Duplicate include statements on a Form and a Subform on that same Form are not supported. Resolving the problem Modifying the form and subform so that they do not have identical code in the Globals section should resolve this issue. This issue can occur inconsistently. It has been noted that the issue might not occur if there is another subform on the form that precedes the problematic Subform containing the identical code. However, if the position of the two subforms is reversed, the problem then appears, especially if the second Subform has no code in its Globals section. The db opens fine, but before any doc opens, you get the message above. The doc error processing then opens. On the form, I have one subform for Edit, one for Read. You can switch to Edit fine, but when you switch back to Read, you get a blank screen, CPU usage shoots up to 100% (in Task Manager), and you have to End Task to get rid of it (and reboot). This all started when a message about a long-hidden (and unused) computed field started appearing a couple days ago, preventing the user from error processing use creating any new doc. I deleted this field today, as well as many others I should have deleted long ago. After that, the "error processing" message started appearing. Per postings, I re-named the script library used by this subform, created a brand new script library and copied the code into it, did the same for both subforms, deleted and re-inserted the subform named in the message, renamed the form, commented out the entire code in the script library, deleted cache.NDK... all to no effect. (Rather, now it's worse, because everything freezes and I have to End Task.) Fortunately this is all happening on my local test db rather than the prod db on the server - but the user is still getting the original message about that computed field and is waiting for me to enable her to create new docs. Can anyone help me?? TIA Mark Return to top "Error processing use list module: ... (Mark T Abe 4.May.07) . . RE: "Error processing use list modu... (Shawn W Taylor 4.May.07) . . . .
