When we check the disk clean up option we find something called Microsoft error reporting temporary files which going very high. After disk clean u everything back to normal. We couldnt disable this service, we have looked everywhere even in the reg files using regedit. How can we disable this thing, or if not where does it save the files so that we write a script to delete them, thanks in https://www.experts-exchange.com/questions/23532575/Microsoft-error-reporting-temporary-files-can-not-be-disabled.html advance. 0 Question by:sultan666 Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Google LVL 1 Best Solution bySortileger Well first off if it's a true Windows 2000 server default install, the system directory should be \winnt and the temp directory would be under \winnt\temp. come up with some problems and needing to close errors which asked me to send a report to Microsoft. I sent the report. Since then I have noticed that I have 1KB or Microsoft Error Reporting Temporary Files in the http://www.pcreview.co.uk/threads/disk-cleanup-microsoft-error-reporting-temporary-files.453417/ list of options when I run Disk Cleanup. I have checked this option and Disk Cleanup https://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20080805101829AAjwOF0 does not seem to want to remove this 1KB of files. Where are they located and how do you delete them. I do not understand why Disk Cleanup won't remove them. Any help would be appreciated. -- KM1 Guest, May 11, 2005 #1 Advertisements What's in a Name?
