I assume it is safe to delete, but should I do something with it first? Should I for example be kind system queued windows error reporting large to Mircosoft and send all that queued stuff? How would I do that? Note: Wish I knew what was after those dots. Assume it is "Reporting", but no idea if there is more after it. Hate dialogs that can not be resized... The per-user data is saved to: %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\wer the system data is saved to: %ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Microsoft\Windows\WER\ THose two folders are split into ReportArchive which is historical reports, and ReportQueue which are reports that have not been sent yet. SP1 that is reporting low disk space. I installed the Desktop Experience and ran the Cleanup. Windows update reported 5GB of used space so I selected it http://serverfault.com/questions/21777/archived-and-queued-windows-error-reporting and ran the cleanup wizard. It now shows So I re-ran the Cleanup and saw this 1. System Queued Windows Error reporting 20GB! Can I just run cleanup and get rid of them? Why is the default on the logs folder so large? It is safe to use the cleanup wizard to clear the System Queued Windows Error reporting. If there is too many space has been used by the Error reporting, you may consider of disable it: https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc754364.aspx After finishing the cleanup process, restart the server to make the change effected. Then, re-run the cleanup wizard and confirm the result. by abofh 0 Today the low disk space message hit me. It regarded the drive where the os (Vista x64) resided. By searching what took so much space I stumbled upon this https://abofh.wordpress.com/2010/05/31/windows-error-reportingwer-huge-files-reportqueue/ folder: c:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\WER\ReportQueue\ which contained a bunch of files that totally counted for a http://superuser.com/questions/14648/stop-vista-creating-gbs-of-error-report-files staggering 15 Gb! The files are created by Windows Error Reporting service that as by Microsoft does the following: “Windows Error Reporting: Windows Error Reporting in Windows Vista is a feature that allows Microsoft to track and address errors relating to the operating system, Windows features, and applications.” Usually you won’t need these files error reporting so you can delete them by using the Disk Cleanup Utility: Start – All programs – Accessories – System Tools – Disk Cleanup, choose the drive that contains your operating system (for most of you will be C: ) and check the Windows Errors Reporting related files from the list, then click OK and it will clean the files. You can also disable the service so that it windows error reporting won’t further create these files. I only have an 80GB boot drive so I really need that space. Since they are listed in Disk Cleanup I assume that they are safe to delete. In the left pane, click Change settings. Click Advanced Settings. Under "For my programs, problem reporting is:" Click Off Click OK. If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation. From Problem Reports and Solutions Click Clear solution and problem history Note: Doing this means Microsoft (and hence the software manufacturer they pass the info to) will no longer receive notice of problems occurring on your computer.
