But not Youtube. Safari and Firefox are both afflicted.I enabled Java, repaired disk permissions (which I do on a regural basis) plus a few other tricks I know.Upgrades, etc., all up to date.No luck.I have had three I-Macs over 13 years and Apple Care for 12 of those years. Gawd how I miss 'em!I'll try your suggestions.Thank you! Helpful (0) Reply options Link to this post by BDAqua, BDAqua Jul 12, 2013 12:22 PM in response to Peter

Some sites/players just will not play video https://discussions.apple.com/thread/5162206?tstart=0 at all or only the initial advertisement, not the real content, and the symptoms are the same in IE and Firefox. Whereas, other sites, e.g., Youtube and some news sites, play fine all the time. An problematic example is the video on the from page of wsj.com. When clicking on its video, the initial frame loads into the player window and then a fraction of a second the spinning download/buffering icon appears, but then nothing thereafter. I https://forums.adobe.com/thread/1275016 have even set its available flash data to 10MB, but still no difference. Occasionally, wsj.com will use a different player for a special report, and these might work OK. Other sites, will play the lead in advertisement followed by a blank player screen.I normally run with administrator status. I find that if I log on as Guest, all video plays OK. Another post in this blog seemed to have similar results. When they disabled their administrator status, their player worked fine. When they swithched back the symptoms seemed to reappear. I want to run with my administrator status.Any ideas? I have the same question Show 0 Likes(0) 607Views Tags: none (add) This content has been marked as final. Show 4 replies 1. That's an indicator that there's something wrong in your account. I'd hazard a guess that if you created another Admin account and logged in with it, the results would be the same as the guest account. Like Show 0 Likes(0) Actions 2. I had some trouble with the broken 404 category link (example: http://bit.ly/1bHoFSE ) To resolve this, I was going to disable the slug translation (product-category is causing all the trouble I guess), but I can not save any settings or options: Examples : - Translate custom posts slugs (via WPML String Translation): Always checked no matter how often you unckeck it and click save. - Can't save setting neither in theme-localization.php (I want to use my po files instead of WMPL template translation...)
