Bug327009 - Error when copying Axis jar files to web project (saaj.jar) Summary: Error when copying Axis jar files to web project (saaj.jar) Status: RESOLVED WORKSFORME Product: WTP Webservices Classification: WebTools Component: wst.wsdl Version: unspecified Hardware: PC Windows 7 Importance: P3 critical (vote) TargetMilestone: --- Assigned To: Project Inbox QA Contact: Keith Chong URL: Whiteboard: Keywords: Depends on: Blocks: Show dependency tree Reported: 2010-10-05 10:05 EDT by Sylvain Lecoy Modified: 2010-10-28 14:11 EDT (History) CC List: 0 users See Also: Attachments Add an attachment (proposed patch, testcase, etc.) Note You need to log in before you can comment on or make changes to this bug. Description Sylvain Lecoy 2010-10-05 10:05:08 EDT Build Identifier: M20100929-0800 When generating stub or client from wsdl, exception is thrown: IWAB0506E Error when copying Axis jar files to web project java.io.FileNotFoundException: /lib/saaj.jar This is caused because I had two version of this lib: javax.xml.soap_1.3.0.v201005080502.jar javax.xml.soap_1.2.0.v201005080501 (folder with /lib/saaj.jar inside) Because the 1.3.0 jar is used, eclipse couldn't find the saaj.jar library and then couldn't load it to generate class stubs. To fix it I manually deleted the javax.xml.soap_1.3.0.v201005080502.jar file, then restart with -clean flag. More info here: http://www.techinfopad.com/spring/100801072-sts-230-bug-cr
org.eclipse.osgi.framework.internal.protocol.bundleentry.Handler.findBundleEntry(Handler.java:44)1. Go to STS installation directory.2. The problem is: wtp requires javax.xml.soap 1.2.0 jira connector includes javax.xml.soap 1.3.0 So we are not able to remove the new 1.3.0 bundle from our build. At the same time there is a strict dependency on the 1.2.0 version from wtp. The real problem is the underlying lookup of the saaj.jar file for deployment that is implemented in wtp. This lookup doesn't take multiple versions of javax.xml.soap into account and tries to find the saaj.jar file inside the 1.3.0 version. Unfortunately that version of the bundle doesn't have the JAR file inside, but the packages directly expanded. Therefore the Axis stuff in wtp fails. I created a bug with wtp to get this fixed: https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=364026 I guess we need to wait for this to be fixed in one of the next wtp versions.
