systemSAP ECC-BW interface: IDOCs/TRFCs were stuck in ECC system Gallery June 22, 2013 eric 3 Comments There was a performance issue of sending data to SAP BW from ECC system. http://www.sap-perf.ca/ecc-bw-interface-idocs-stuck/ When I started to work on this, it was not sure where the issue was (BW, ECC and etc.) and why the issue had been happening. In this post, I would share how I have done troubleshooting on SAP ECC-BW data loading issue which pointed to Performance issue was in BW system, BW performance issue was related to BW database performance and When error when did the BW database issue started. The main tool I used is ST03N and ST04. Other tools used included system resource checking tools like ST06, ST02 and SMQS etc. Later, Oracle event 10447 level 50 was effected in our BW system together with added database writer and our performance issue has been resolved ever after. Event 10447 level 50 is to fix Oracle error when updating Advance Compression performance bug based on our SAP and Oracle version. 1 The performance issue – BW IDOCs/TRFCs stuck in ECC system Business transaction data could not be loaded into BW system on time as usual. TRFCs/IDOCs backlog was establishing in ECC system and waiting for to be sent over to BW system. 2 The trouble-shooting of the performance issue In a nutshell: ECC system: identify remote BW function module for data loading via SAP SM58, BW system: Review FM average response time in BW via SAP ST03N, Review database performance statistics Via SAP ST03N and Review database load via SAP ST04. 2.1 Collect information, Verify and monitor ECC-BW interface Our TRFC/IDOC flow to BW is controlled via SAP outbound scheduler SMQS in ECC side. There is no CPU, memory and SAP dialog work process shortage in both ECC and BW system during the period when data were stuck in ECC side. There is no "common" index issue here. There is no change on the SMQS setting. RFC resource quota is not changed and there is no RFC resource shortage in ECC side. And the same is t
