Close Sign In Print Article Products Related Articles Article Languages Subscribe to this Article Manage your Subscriptions Problem A push installation of the Remote psexec Agent for Windows server (RAWS) in Backup Exec 12.5 fails with the error "1073740791: Failed to create process as user" Error Message 1073740791: Failed to create process as user For BE 2010, its been observed that push install of remote agent completes successfully but actually remote agent is not updated. Cause Solution When trying to push install or update an existing installation of the RAWS, the installation rolls back or does not complete, and reports the 'Unsuccessful Backup Exec Remote Agents' install error message. Resolution: This issue has now been resolved in Backup Exec 12.5 Service Pack 3 and Backup Exec 12.5 Hotfix 339201. Please refer to the Related Documents Section for more information. Once these patches are applied on the Backup Exec server, push installation of RAWS should not fail with above mentioned error. Workaround: 1. Manually delete hotfixes installed before BEWS 12.5 Service Pack 2 from the RAWS updates folder on the Backup Exec server a. On the media server, navigate to the Updates folder for both R
