When trying to load XP normally: "Operating System Not Found." So I press F8 to get options, restart in Safe Mode: "Windows could not start because of an error in the software. Please report this problem as: load needed DLLs for kernel. Please contact your support to report this problem." When I try to restart in last known good config I get HD consistency check that http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_xp-windows_install/reinstall-windows-xp-home-editioni386biosinfoinf/69a93a53-e4b3-440c-a467-64beba4765f9 hangs on 5%. If I skip that it just restarts. When I try to reinstall XP, I select boot from CD, before ANYTHING loads: "\i386\biosinfo.inf could not be loaded The error code is 32768" Any ideas? I can't check the RAM or HD because nothing loads. I can't reinstall XP. I don't have another laptop to check the HD in and I don't think I can get to the HD anyway... Download Seagate SeaTools for DOS by clicking "Downloads" here: http://www.seagate.com/support/downloads/seatools/ Now download and install IMGburn & use it to create a CD from the SeaTools ISO file: http://filehippo.com/download_imgburn/ When you've made the CD, boot your Acer Aspire from it and the SeaTools software should load. The only two parts i changed were the power source and the hard drive.I turned the computer on and had to delete two accounts by using safe mode and making an account for myself as administer. I then began deleting programs such as nfl games and etc. After that I tried to reformat using a dell operating system cd that had Microsoft windows xp home edition including service pack 2. However, i keep receiving the message File \i386\biosinfo.inf could not be loaded. The error code is 32768 Setup cannot continue. Press any key to exit I looked it up and found that it was caused by third-party adware. I have found that i have Antivirus pro 2010 on the computer, i have installed and removed both Malwarebytes anti-malware, and spybot seek and destroy several times, Both will finsh installing and

Either you have a problem with your RAM or something is wrong with the CD (or the CD-ROM Drive). Try a memory testing application to make sure everything is in order. The symptom I experienced is just as you describe - it goes along fine for a while, then at some point just fails to read the CD. Try a newer CD drive for the install. It doesn't even have to be that new, most 4x drives work and anything faster than that certainly will. Once the installation is complete, the old CD drive will most likely function normally in the running OS. It's just the setup t
