When posting results with a FrontPage https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/308242 form, I receive an error message similar to the following: FrontPage Error. User: Please report details to this site's webmaster. Webmaster: please see the server's application event log for more details. Cause This type of error is usually due to a FrontPage extensions corruption, or incorrect permissions assigned to files stored in FrontPage http://support.hostdepot.com/KB/a11/when-posting-results-with-frontpage-form-i-receive.aspx meta content folders. Resolution To resolve this problem, visit the SiteUtil control panel at https://www.SiteUtil.com and locate the FrontPage Extensions section. From this section, click the "Check and Repair" button and try your form again. If "Check and Repair" does not resolve the issue, try uninstalling and reinstalling your FrontPage extensions. Note that uninstalling FrontPage extensions on your web site will NOT delete your existing web pages. To uninstall your FrontPage extensions, click the "Uninstall FrontPage Extensions" button. When the process completes, the page will change to display an "Install FrontPage Extensions" button. Click this button to reinstall your extensions. If neither of the above corrects the problem, notify technical support at support@hostdepot.com. We will perform an exhaustive test to your web site to resolve the issue. I have been able to do this successfully in the past. Last week I made an adjustment to an existing form that has had a domino effect on me and put me back to square one?actually past that, I am in negative territory now. frontpage error message Here is what I have:-FrontPage 2002-IIS running on a Server 2003 machine (SP1)-FrontPage 2002 extensions are installed and configured-SMTP service running on same server, and configured-Site is being published via FP and not FTP site.-all proper permissions have been set on both the Web properties in IIS as well as the home folders on the server. -At this point in is a super basic form?a single text box on a page setup to email me.Here is what is going on:I fill out the form, hit submit and get ?FrontPage Error. User: Please report details to this site?s webmaster. Webmaster: please see the server?s application event log for more details? (the URL of this page is: http://(server)/_vti_bin/shtml.dll/Test1.htm) (test1 is the name of the form)Now there are no details in the event viewers, and the results of the form are being recorded, just the email is not being sent. Here is what I have tried so far:-Uninstalled FrontPage extensions and reinstalled them-Uninstalled and reinstalled SMTP server-Uninstalled and reinstalled IIS-Check the configuration on the SMTP server and the FrontPage extensions several times over.-Adjusted permission on all folders associated with this web to allow for everyone to have full control-followed Microsoft docs to insure that FrontPage Extensions are in fact running.I am confident that there is something small I am missing?I have seen you all in
