Is it not giving you the option or is there an error message when you try the form?Try sending an email to support - it is possible that the SMTP service is not installed correctly on your account.RegardsGeorge Marchewawww.tutshi.com Logged RegardsGeorge Marchewawww.tutshi.com Steve Herold Hero Member Posts: 2,185 Karma: +17/-70 https://webservices.thesba.com/forum/index.php?topic=24839.0 frontpage form can't send to e mail « Reply #2 on: December 22, 2004, 09:11:19 PM » Since this is your first message you might want to verify that the email address you are sending the messages from is an actual email account.Next it would help if you gave us a little more information like what component you are using to send the messages.Steve Logged gaon Hosting Newbie Posts: 2 Karma: +0/-0 frontpage form can't send to e mail « Reply #3 on: December 23, 2004, 03:11:44 AM » the error occurs when you go into the form properties in the "send to" fiel you have 3 options send to file name and e mail 2)send to database 3)send to other so i am putting send to e mail the email that is associated with my domain name and it tells me fronpage error 'this form cannot be configured to send results via e mail .the website may be located at a disk based location or on a server thahas not been configured to send e mail contact system administrator Logged eksimba Jr. Member Posts: 239 Karma: +7/-0 frontpage form can't send to e mail « Reply #4 on: December 23, 2004, 07:23:04 AM » I a

User: please report details to http://www.pcreview.co.uk/threads/microsoft-frontpage-frontpage-error-when-sending-email-from-form.1899320/ this site's webmaster. Webmaster: please see the server's application event log for more http://exceptionin.com/q/frontpage-error-when-sending-email-from-form/1 details." instead of my confirmation page. Please I need help to solve the problem. Guest, Jun 30, 2005 #1 Advertisements Thomas A. Rowe Guest You need to find out what is in the log file, if this is on a remote server, then you need to contact the web host. When using the FP frontpage error Form Handler, the web host must enable the email function of the extensions. -- ============================================== Thomas A. it throws this error: FrontPage Error. User: please report details to this site's webmaster. Webmaster: please see the server's application event log for more details. There is not anything in the event log. I've cleared it, and executed the form a few times... nothing... SMTP is correctly setup though because using a plain ASP with CDO.Message I can send email without ANY trouble. Any ideas? 24answers frontpage error Comments See all(0) Cancel Edit Add comment Anonymous 0 August 16, 2011 PAQed, with points refunded (125) Computer101 E-E Admin Comments See all(0) Add comment Anonymous 0 August 16, 2011 Have you tried to re-install the extensions? Frequently this is caused by once again, a non-existent confirmation URL or more likely an improper file path, when sending results to file. It is common to arbitrarily set a file results location, but at the same time, not create the file in question and add it to the _private folder. Also, not to drive you totally nuts, I must urge you to remember to use FP publish when adding forms to your site just in case you are not doing so. -Corey Comments See all(0) Add comment Anonymous 0 August 16, 2011 Yes. I have re-installed. The confirmation URL is fine as the form processes correctly when email is NOT used. Comments See all(0) Add comment Anonymous 0 August 16, 2011 The .CSV file is also being updated correctly. The error only pops up when I try and email & update the .CSV Comments See all(0) Add comment Anonymous 0 August 16, 2011 Try not to post the CSV & see what happens. -Corey Comments See all(0) Add comment Anonymous 0 August 16, 2011 No love there either ... I just tried sending the email without posting to the CSV ... same error ... odd thing is there isn't anything in the event viewer either ... even though the error suggests to look there. Comments See all(0) Add comment Anonymous 0 August 16, 2011 Try to post to the CSV without e-mail. (Sorry just trying to gigure out where the problem lies) And make sure the CSV file is updated. This is on your own server correct? -Corey Comments See all(0) Add comment Anonymous 0 August 16, 2011 My server, yes. The CSV is updated correctly when *not* sending emails...
