Garmin Servers Unavailable At This Time
to send this to my registered Dakota I have a ‘select device’ tab which confirms the serial number of my Dakota. This box says ‘send date to device’ and I click ok. I then have a garmin express servers unavailable at this time brief dialog box which says ‘Birdseye Imagery Device Activation – Please wait while we contact Garmin servers to verify device activation’ This is followed by a message ‘Error contacting Garmin servers would you like to try again’ This message is continually repeated on pressing ok. I have not had an issue previously before upgrading to Birdseye. I have checked firewalls, net guard, removed all gpx files as suggested by Garmin in garmin express server error case any were corrupted - which I have now lost! I have checked my internet connection and for some reason my time settings as suggested by Garmin and my Proxy/LAN settings. Once I have downloaded Birdseye to Basecamp I can drag/drop it at will? Have you tried doing that? Yes I have tried using both the 'send data to device' icon tab and by copying files in the library panel on the left hand side of the BaseCamp page. In both instances the computer wants to contact the server I assume to verify the device has a licence to receive the data. In your instance how does BaseCamp know the device is yours and you are not downloading the infor

BUT NOW where is "mapinstall"? is that something else I have to buy or download from somewhere? Is it on the CNNA NT CD? In old topo mapsource, I unavailable at this could check the blocks of maps I'd like to install and topo would install. That tool that was shown on mapsource isn't shown on the Basecamp toolbar, so I'm assuming I must have the mapinstall thing. God this is hard. Is it possible to pack everything up in a box and send Montana and software to Garmin to put CNNA NT? Spent the whole day,,,,,,,,,almost 9 hours now looking and pressing buttons. You will first install the maps to your computer, from the DVD, and they will be available in BaseCamp. Once that is complete, you can send the map from your computer (PC or Mac) to your Montana using MapInstall. All the steps required to accomplish these tasks, PC or Mac, are clearly presented. I get an error when trying to open garmin files other people send so thought I'd check for updates. I get this error message. unfortunately Garmin are always closed when I get around to trying. Any suggestions? The device itself seems to get through to the server using the update wizard which I download from Garmin.
