GRUB loading, please wait... Error 25” I don't know if it was a coincidence but my HIT HDD1 (most unusually) crashed within seconds of my automatic Update Manager coming through, telling me there were updates to make (which I didn't have chance to do). I made several postings in the HOWTO: Purge and Reinstall Grub 2 from the Live CD thread. Here are their links: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1581

I installed Fedora 9 onto a spare partition on my machine (dual boot with Windows XP). All seemed fine http://forums.fedoraforum.org/showthread.php?t=191705 when I got to the reboot stage but after the reboot, it appears I have a grub issue. Error shown is: GRUB Loading stage1.5. GRUB loading, please wait.... Error 25 I never get to the stage of seleting which OS to boot. Everything I have seen seems to suggest an issue with menu.lst but I cant see the issue: menu.lst: Code: # grub.conf generated by anaconda # # Note that you do not have to rerun grub after making changes to this file # NOTICE: You have a /boot partition.
